
Saag or sag is a spinnach leaf-based dish eaten in the Indian Subcontinent with bread such as roti or naan, or rice.
Ingredients
2 tablespoons of chopped onion
200g of diced paneer
Half a cup of chopped spinach
½ teaspoon nigella seed, mustard seed, cumin seed, turmeric
Chilli and salt to taste
1 tablespoon oil
2 tbsp tinned chopped tomato
Chopped coriander to garnish
Water
Method
Fry onion in oil until slightly browned and then add the spices
Add the paneer and gently stir until cooked through and add water should it start to stick
When almost ready add the tomato, spinach, chilli and salt
Garnish with coriander
